a new bbq chip?

when i'm supposed to be doing lots of writing, sometimes i really want snacks. the day before yesterday, i picked some of these up from the rite aid for this reason (despite what this bag says, mine were on sale for $.99):

assessment: southern bbq tastes exactly like salt and vinegar! just goes to show, once again, that the south is very very different from the north of the u.s.

snow days part II

today haverford declared a half snow day too. it was a half snow day because it was a full snow day but only for the staff. this meant that the library was student-run and student-opened. here are a few shots i got right after unlocking the front door at 8:30 am.

Snow Days and Space Exploration

For the first time in hundreds of years NYU called a snow half-day!

Not only did I learn about snow blindness, but I was able to sit down and read the Sunday obituaries and find out about this guy, Geoffrey Burbidge, a founder of the B2FH paper which stated (in brief) how light elements make heavier ones.

Now the cool thing about all of this is that - well, a number of things. It tells us how life was made - each human has was made from a supernova's stardust. It also is a basis for awesome things like Nuclear Fusion. Also the sun is made of iron and... maybe.

Snow days are the best.
I suggest everyone check out the nasa pictures of the day.
star forming clusters are also the best (picture).
